World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) is attracting public attention by carrying out massive Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign to save the earth’s environment getting sick in about 2200 places, 150 countries. This cleanup campaign which is conducting continually throughout the world until the begging of Apr. is ‘2012 Worldwide Cleanup Campaign for greeting the Passover‘ which is a part of ‘the Commemoration of God Ahnsahnghong‘s the Sacred Birth’ and ‘the Preparation of the Sacred Assembly of the Passover‘.
Church of God explained the object of this cleanup campaign is “to practice love of New Covenant Passover which 2nd Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong restored to save people of the world.” and said “We are going to protect life of human beings from environmental disasters by informing the seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution and arousing sympathy and participation of world’s people in cleanup campaign.”
1200 saints of Church of God and citizens participated in and carried out cleanup centering the Square of Sinchon station in Seodaemoon, Mapo, and Eunpyeong of Seoul on 4th. They collected dropped wastes in the Square of Sinchon station, the sides of road, Bus stops and streets.
Streets stained by kinds of wastes like cigarettes, cans, leaflets and garbage became clean and about 6 tons of wastes are collected.
Shin Won-cheol, the chairman of City-Administration Committee of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and Ryu Sang-ho, a district representative are also participated in this event and gave thanks and encouragement to saints of Church of God and citizens who lead cleanup for the region.
The chairman Shin Won-cheol said “I express my thanks and gladness to saints of Church of God and citizens who take part in voluntary service despite cold weather. I’m very surprised that Church of God conducted cleanup activities 1289 times. I hope we clean our mind like we clean Seoul Metropolis.”
Ryu Sang-ho, a district representative, who participated in together, said “I’m pleased I can take part in this good event. I know about Church of God which practices sharing and volunteering. Many people volunteer, but I’m impressed that Church of God volunteers to small parts unreached helping hands from all parts of the world.”
Choi Eui-hwan who has participated in the event each time said “I participated in this voluntary service to deliver mother’s love. Volunteering individually is not easy, so I’m pleased this chance comes to me. I want to participate in voluntary services continually because I gain many things through this.”
Park Chun-ja said “I want to clean the environment in visual sight after realizing God’s love, so take part in cleanup. I hope the world become clean and beautiful with God’s love.”
Kim Min-jeong said “I participate in cleanup campaign first time after participating in volunteering to share briquette last time. Collecting small wastes in all the corners and seeing streets which become clean, I feel good because it seems my mind also become clean.”
Heo Jin-hye, a student who participated in cleanup, said “It is cold, but I’m happy. I don’t know streets are dirty like this. I hope people don’t throw away wastes. It is unpleasant to see smelly wastes, but my mind become bright by cleaning streets.”
Church of God has conducted worldwide cleanup campaign every year before the important feast of the church. The church is conducting cleanup campaign continually to protect the earth’s environment which is the grounds of human beings’ life. As the church, cleanup activities they conducted for about 10 years from 2001 to 2012 reach 1272 except for small-scale activities which wasn’t counted. They have conducted enormous cleanup activities more than average 100 every year. These activities of Church of God are being commented favorably as giving help to change citizens’ environmental awareness in the world as well as purifying the polluted earth.
Church of God introduced the Passover is precious God’s feast through which we are protected from disasters and promised the forgiveness of the sins and the eternal life. And they explained “We hope people keep the Passover together after cleaning minds like cleaning the earth’s environment and receive blessings to become God’s children and salvation as present. Saving the earth which is under emergency by environmental disasters is practicing love of God the Father and God the Mother who love human beings. We continue to inform God’s feasts and to protect the earth.

World Mission Society Church of God‘s General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol who passes the busy days preparing the Passover on 5th, next month, emphasizes practice of sharing in everyday life on 6th.
The Passover is the feast which Church of God values above everything else. The Passover means ‘pass over disasters’ as written in the Bible. ‘The Last Supper’ that Jesus Christ hand out bread and wine to the disciples saying that those are his flesh and blood on the night before the Crucifixion is also circumstance of the Passover.
He said “Jesus’ blood represent life and eternal life.” and he explained “We started carrying out volunteer and sharing activities possible to practice throughout the world before the Passover because blood donation means sharing with neighbors.”
Voluntary service isn’t large scale. That is a matter possible to practice at any time in everyday life like cleanup and blood donation. But the specific feature is the fact that the activities which Church of God established by Ahnsahnghong in 1964 conducts, extend operations to whole world centering Korea.

A special concert for students who have one day to go to school opened on 1st day of Mar. ‘Church of God Students Orchestra’ which is conducting nationwide concert tour during spring vacation gave 8th concert in Changwon.
This concert was opened in Church of God in Changwon Happo at 1:30 P.M.
The temple which is the place of service became warm concert hall which consoles hearts of teenagers who are harassed with school violence and stress of schoolwork and gives hope. (omit)
Park Wan-soo, the mayor of Changwon, celebrated the open of Church of God Students Orchestra’s concert through the congratulatory telegram and expressed his gratitude to the church which prepares meaningful concert. And he said “I want teenagers get the energy to spread their hope and dream through beautiful melody affecting mind and God’s love.”
Kim Do-seok, the pastor of Church of God in Changwon Happo, explained the object of this concert with the words “I want this concert become precious time consoling students who have difficulties because of stress of schoolwork and problems in school and presenting small consolation and hope to hard hearts.” and he said, “I hope students sing friendship with friends through music, a universal language, which is loved from world’s people over space-time and make future bright and warm.”
Members of students who appeared on the stage presented familiar classical music to teenagers like ‘Light Cavalry Overture’ of Suppe, ‘Radetzky marsch’ of Johann Strauss and ‘Waltz’ of Shostakovich.
And they lead students to the world of orchestral music which is abundant and interesting with playing colorful music like ‘World’s Folk Song Medley’ made with world nations’ folk songs appeared in the schoolbook, ‘New Song’ which praises Elohim God, ‘the Collaboration with men quartet’. They presented the impression to the audiences who visit the concert with concentration unbecoming in students and ability of high level.
Kang Beom-seok who played the trombone has been active in ‘Church of God Students Orchestra’ for 3 years. His character changed better as doing the orchestra activity, so he could make many friends. And he said “I know how difficult life in school is because I’m student, too. I hope every students cheer up by realizing that there are friend who can share worries together and students like us who endeavor to make school bright and warm, even though they can’t give up duty as student.”
Student who wonted to the electronic music responded that orchestral music which has the echo was good over their expectation.
Kim Ji-yun who becomes high school student this year expressed her impression that “I’m pressured from study as becoming high school student and nervous before the day of school starts but my mind is set at ease listening the grand music. Music of today will come to my mind whenever I have difficulty.”
Jeong Woo-jong who likes the strings, a student, said “Actually I feel pity for friends who suffer from school violence because I can’t do something for them. I hope the time in which we can come to understanding each other with comfort increases by opening the concerts which give stability of emotion.”
After concert, learning interesting rhythmic movement and playing traditional games which student can enjoy. Plentiful snack foods were prepared and give enjoyment.
The education interests and teachers who visit concert express their gratitude to the church which prepared this event carefully for student from selection of familiar music to supplementary events.
Kim Seon-dong, a school commissioner of Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education, said “Student Orchestra’s concert of Church of God which practices sharing life and love as light and salt of society is very impressive. That gave impression to students before new term, I think. I want to make the chance that more students can see this concert in larger stage.” and he continued, “whole society have to participate in prevention of school violence which is becoming the problem of society. When the activities like the concert of ‘Church of God Students Orchestra’ spread in all society in the region, our society will be bright more and school violence will be prevent.”
Kim Jong-soo, the principal of Changwon Myeongji Woman High School, said “Students cannot afford to purify mind because our society require them to compete for credits(units).” and he commented that this concert is “great event which give light to society in which violence prevails.”
‘Church of God Students Orchestra’ is composed of Church of God’s students.
Members learn upright human nature and attainment like consideration and cooperation through ensemble doing school work and orchestra’s activities based on faith. Above all, they exemplify themselves because they lead the van in making safe, warm and beautiful school by concert tour, not satisfied with advancement in ability.
They opened ‘Wind Ensemble for Teenagers’ which is ensemble with wind instruments and percussion instruments in the last year and received fervent response.

When the members from World Mission Society Church of God conduct the campaign on Wexstrasse 27, it leads to the following worldwide activities.
It is same on 11th Mar. when the street cleanup campaign is held in around 1900 cities in 150 countries worldwide. The cleanup campaign held in Rotes Rathaus last year is to be carried out again in the neighboring areas in Rotes Rathaus. Anyone who would like to join this even can come to Hackescher Market train station by 1 p.m.
Moreover, World Mission Society Church of God is actively participating in the blood drive across the world. For the first time in Germany, the church’s blood drive campaign was carried out led by Church of God in Wilmersdorf.
On 30th, Jan. around 60 citizens visited Haema blood drive center in Wilmersdorf and joined the blood drive. By accepting the offer of Daniel Bahr, the Minister of Health and Welfare from FDP, appealing more blood donations, the church is also expected to implement the blood drive campaign in April. Deacon Julian George explained the blood drive metaphorically, saying “2000 years ago, Jesus Christ gave us the eternal life by His blood shedding on the cross. We can save others through the blood we donate.”
On that evening, the activity of church members attracted many citizens’ interest and they even participated in this campaign voluntarily like Wilhelm Gebelein.
Pastor Lee Byeong-ho expressed his thanks beside the campaign car. There were many church members who participated in this event for the first time in their lives like Laura Rein. With a smiling face, Laura Rein helped Eric Lemann from Haema get the injection.
With a flushed face with excitement, Conrad Strathausen, a theology student who first participated in this event said, “God did not hesitate to shed His blood for us and neither do I.” The Church is expected to donate the blood donor card as well as compensation for the public.
World Mission Society Church of God was established by Christ Ahnsahnghong in Korea in 1964. Currently, there are around 2000 churches in approximately 150 countries with about 1.6 million registered members. Through the charity concert for the earthquake victims in Haiti, they were attracted by the public and they also have donated around $100000 to UN.
Since then, World Mission Society Church of God has been keeping the mutual cooperative ties with UN. In 2011, US President Barak Obama awarded the church a prize in recognition of its contribution to the society.

| The Passover of the New Covenant
The Passover of the New Covenant which Church of God values much of is the day Jesus Christ promised the forgiveness of the sins and eternal life to those who eat the bread and the wine which represent his flesh and blood when is the evening of the last day before he was crucified 2000 years ago. Church of God keeps the Passover eating the bread and drinking the wine at the evening on 14th, Jan. in the Sacred Calendar(the calendar of Jews) every year following the teaching of Jesus Christ. The name of ‘Passover’ means ‘disasters go over and across.’ This originated that Israelites were protected from disaster by putting the blood of the lamb on the sides and tops of the doorframes at the time of Exodus.
