World Mission Society Church of God ‘Love of Life, Blood Donation Relay’

‘Love of the Passover, Love of Life, Blood Donation Relay’ which World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) is conducting in the whole world is attracting public attention.

Pastor Kim Joo-cheol said, “We got started blood donation to save life which is in emergency through lack of blood. We are going to arouse people’s attention to the trend to take life lightly and make warm world sharing love.”

In the region of Gumi, Blood Donation Relay was held in the church of Gwangpyeong-dong on 5^th. Korea Red Cross Daegu Blood Center supported 4 mobile blood center and 600 persons including saints and neighboring residents like housewives, office workers and university students participated in blood donation started 10 A.M.

Go Hye-kyeong, an office worker who participated in blood donation, said, “I’m pleased I could practice small love. I want blood donation spreads more and more.”

Lee Gi-nam, the chief of Daegu Blood Center, said, “The blood donated on today will be used to save patients who suffer from disease.” and expressed his appreciation.

For greeting the Sacred Assembly of the Passover … 1500 persons participated in … Inform dangerousness of Global Warming

World Mission Society Church of God occupied the attention by carrying out large-scale Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign in 2200 places, 150 countries to save environment of the earth getting sick.

This cleanup campaign which will be continued to the beginning of Apr. is ‘2012 Worldwide Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign for Greeting the Passover’ that is conducted as a part of ‘the commemoration of God Ahnsahnghong’s sacred birth and the preparation of the Sacred Assembly of the Passover of 2012’.

Church of God explained the object of this campaign is “to practice love of the Passover of the New Covenant which 2^nd Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong restored to save people of the world” and “to protect lives of human beings from environmental disasters by informing people the seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution and arousing sympathy and participation of them.” In Ansan, they conducted cleanup campaign in Hwarang Park which is placed Choji-dong, Danwon-gu on 4^th. ··· (omit) ···

In that event, many regional figures including National Assemblyman, the candidate of Assemblyman and City Assemblyman participated. They praised good deeds of citizens and saints of Church of God who lead regional development and expressed their gratitude.

National Assemblyman Park Sun-ja who volunteers with saints said, “I thank to saints of Church of God from my heart for their cleanup campaign for greeting the Passover. I firmly believe the world will be clean and bright by efforts of Church of God’s saints in the all over the world.”

National Assemblyman Cho Jeong-sik who participated in the event expressed his impression that “I know Church of God’s saints have done good deeds usually. I’m pleased that they are delivering God’s will and making the world pure and bright through cleanup campaign despite cold weather. Especially it seems good that many children and teenagers participate together. Our children’s school life in difficulties like competition for admission to the college and school violence makes my heart hurt. So I think adults have to make efforts for children and teenagers. Kim Hyeong-bae who participated in cleanup with his wife said, “It looks good that members of the family clean up park together. I participated in a voluntary service like this for the first time, but I want recommend other people and I will participate with my children, if I get opportunity. Church of God explained the Passover coming on 5^th Apr. is “a valuable feast of God through which we are protected from disasters and receive the forgiveness of the sins and eternal life as promise” and said, “we want to keep the Passover after cleaning our minds like cleaning the earth’s environment and to receive blessing to become God’s children and salvation as gift.” Moreover, they reported “the work to save the earth which comes to crises by environmental disasters is participating in the love of God the Father and God the Mother who love human beings, so we will continue to inform God’s feasts and protect the earth.”

Church of God ‘Blood Donation Relay’ in Ulsan

 

Blood Donation Relay was held on 29^th Feb. in World Mission Society Church of God to share new life for neighbors who are undergoing difficulty because of lack of blood.

Pastor Cho Jun-hyeong said that they started Blood Drive to give delight of new life to patients who are undergoing difficulty of blood transfusion and to make an opportunity to let many people know the importance of donating blood.

Applicants for blood donation who came by 3 mobile blood centers in the church’s garden from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. were 400 persons and 180 persons who can donate blood participated in blood drive among them.

The church reported World Mission Society Church of God is participating in Blood Donation Relay in all over the world to share love of the Passover’s life.

Kim Cheol-soo, a section chief of Red Cross Ulsan Blood Center, said, “Demand and supply of blood are put on emergency alertness on March and July during vacation, so I appreciate the church’s participation in blood donation. Because a huge sum of money is in use to import insufficient blood every year, I want to people to be interested and participate in blood donation.”

‘Church of God’ Cleanup around Gwangju River

Gwangju branch of World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor. Kim Joo-cheol) occupied the attention by cleanup activity around Gwangju River on 4^th with ‘2012 the Sacred Assembly of the Passover’ ahead.

This event was prepared as a part of ‘Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign’ which is held in spots of the world recently and preparation of ‘2012 the Sacred Assembly of the Passover’ which will be held on 5^th in next month. 1700 persons including saints of Church of God’s Gwangju branch and neighbors participated in this event and they collected 2 tons of waste and dirt which were thrown away illegally in 3 km of riverside centering Gwangam Bridge from 9 A.M.

Especially they cleaned up neatly carcasses of animal, pieces of broken bottle in the grass of riverside, so they commanded admiration from visitors who called at Gwangju River and neighboring residents.

Lee Geun-je, a participant of cleanup, said “Actually it is difficult to do voluntary service alone even though I have a mind to do it, but my heart is so full by volunteering with many people like this. I want to participate in voluntary service actively forward.” with bright smile.

Kim Yeong-hwan, a pastor of World Mission Society Church of God, said “Mind becomes polluted in polluted environment, but mind becomes bright in comfortable environment. We have planned to promote voluntary service more to make citizens of Gwangju enjoy bright and comfortable lives.”

World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) is conducting ‘2012 Worldwide Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign for Greeting the Passover’ to save the earth’s environment getting sick in 2200 places, 150 countries, so the church is being the center of attention.

About the object of this cleanup campaign, Church of God said, “We planned this to protect lives of human beings from environmental disaster by informing seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution.”

1500 persons including Church of God’s saints and residents who live in Ansan and Siheung put away waste and arrange in every corner like Hwarang reservoir, the walk, the art museum and the lawn square in Hwarang Park which is placed Choji-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si.

Hwarang Park which is composed of the lake, the walk, the art museum, kinds of training facilities and the lawn squre in the site reaching 660,000m² is a natural rest area of Ansan’s citizens. The park needs to clean because many citizens have a visit to rest and exercise every day.

Hong Sam-rang, a janitor of the park, expressed his gratitude that “Cleanup of the park was urgent because the drainage way was choked with fallen leaves which were piled up throughout the winter. Under that condition, saints of the church cleaned up the park, so I’m relieved of worry.”

Jeong Chun-sub, an office worker, expressed his impression of volunteer work that “It seemed to clean, but wastes which were hidden are more than my thought. Many people clean together, so broad park became clean in an instant. I’m very pleased that I could participate in good deed.”

Church of God is conducting cleanup campaign continually to protect environment of the earth which is the living space of human beings. As the church, cleanup activities they conducted for about 10 years from 2001 to 2012 reach 1272 except for small-scale activities which wasn’t counted. They have conducted enormous cleanup activities more than average 100 every year. These activities of Church of God are being commented favorably as giving help to change citizens’ environmental awareness in the world as well as purifying the polluted earth.

◈ Giving Hope and Courage to Teenagers

The best feature of this concert is that ‘the concert by students, and for students.’ All players are high school students and invited audiences are also students. They invite parents and teachers whom they had not many chances to talk with. Church of God said, “Adolescence is the important time for character building but teenagers can’t be receiving cultural benefit and are being harassed with school violence and burden of schoolwork. We want that this concert comforts mind and body and become tremendous help and encouragement to realize hope and dreams.”

◈ Nationwide Tour, Complimentary Concert

The first concert opened on 19^th(Sun.) in New Jerusalem Temple that is Church of God’s the main church which is placed Bundang, Gyeonggi. Continuing the concert opened on 20^th(Mon.) in Gwanak, Seoul, on 22^nd(Wed.) in Dongdaemun, Seoul, on 23^rd(Thur.) in Songpa, Seoul, on 24^th(Fri.) in Nakseom, Incheon, 26^th(Sun.) Yeongtong, Suwon, 27^th(Mon.) Bukgu, Daegu one by one. In Mar. starting on 1^st(Thur.) in Changwon, 9^th concert opened on 4^th in Jeonju. The concert is expected to open on 11^th(Sun.) in Ulsan, on 18^th(Sun.) in Chuncheon. Each concert start at 1:30 P.M. on that day in Church of God of that region and every concert are complimentary.

◈ Tunes which Share Heart Together with Students

Because this is for students, the concert consists of lilting, lively and familiar tunes which we can meet easily. Among classics, ‘Light Cavalry Overture’ of Suppe, ‘Waltz’ of Shostakovich and ‘Radetzky marsch’ of Johann Strauss were played. ‘Folk song medley of the world’ is also played. Especially, creative orchestral tune ‘New Song’ is presented. ‘New Song’ is the sacred song which praises God the Creator. “All You, Pass Thru the Red Sea” which praises God’s authority, “The Staff of Moses”, “The Bright, Heavenly Way” are presented in this concert.

As the church, “‘New Song’ is the song of soul which those who were reborn to new life in God’s grace put heart of thanks and joy of salvation into.” and they said “Audiences will be able to experience newness of creative tunes with splendidness.” Moreover, various repertory like collaboration with men quartet were prepared so this concert is likely to be the stage through which audience can experience musical diversity of course impression.

◈ Heavenly Melody which Impressed Nation

‘The Students Orchestra of Church of God’ consists of nationwide middle and high school students who belong to this church. But their ability is not inferior to that of a professional orchestra.

Church of God is teaching students who entertain God’s love in the teachings of the Bible to grow into those who do role of the light and the salt in the world. “Can Music be impressed on people like this?”

‘Students Orchestra of Church of God’ is different as expected.

At 1:30 P.M. on 4^th in central hall of Church of God in Deokjin, Jeonju.

The stage of the temple was filled with 40 members of orchestra and the seats were filled with students, parents and guests over 1000 persons. 9^th concert of nationwide tour of orchestra which was composed of Church of God’s middle and high school students opened in Jeonju.

The concert started and a melody exaltedly sang like a heavenly bird. That was snug sound like whisper of low voice. At that moment everyone closed the eyes and opened the minds by their harmony.

Lyrical first tune “The Bright, Heavenly Way” brought a thunderous applause. Following that, a familiar melody wrapped the seats. That was ‘Light Cavalry Overture’ of Suppe. ‘Waltz’ of Shostakovich and ‘Radetzky marsch’ of Johann Strauss were played one by one. People said a interjection “Wow” after another. ‘Folk song medley of the world’ followed after then. Students were into the pleasure as familiar tunes which they had learned in school come.

New Songs of magnificent tone “All You, Pass Thru the Red Sea” and “The Staff of Moses” were sufficient to overwhelm the audience. The orchestra and men quartet’s collaboration which was grand finale created fantastic harmony and presented overflowing impression from beginning to end.

The orchestra filled the temple with impression among passionate supports from audience for 1 hour. The audience rose from their seats altogether and applauded as concert finished. Applause continued constantly so orchestra’s members could not draw down a curtain over 5 minute and repeated return salute.

The reactions of students after watching were explosive. They said it is great and wonderful that friends who are similar to themselves can play on high level and specially. They chorused “I feel proudly and gain confidence as ‘I can also do’”

“Great. It is wonderful that students can also make good sounds like that.” Choi Han-sol(2^nd grade of high school), a student, said, “I think, if students do activity like this in their schools, bullying and violence will never be.”

Parents of students and teachers showed same reactions. Parent Choi Mi-ran who came to concert with her son said, “I’m very surprised how students can play impressively like this, how beautiful minds they have.” And she said, “Their performance is more impressive than that of adult and I have never heard like this performance in any orchestra. I feel students’ heart and soul in their eyes and looks,” and couldn’t continue to talk because of overflowing impression.

Pastor Kim Jong-yuk who prepared this event said, “Something to need for students who were harassed with school violence and schoolwork in the time of the storm and stress are sympathies with friends, school and family. Aren’t they?” Continually, he said, “I hope this concert in which people share mind with musical language become big sound box of love, so become time when students are playing on stage and students are watching on seats song friendship and play dreams.”

Meanwhile Church of God in Jeonju will volunteer on large scale to spread love for greeting the Passover. Starting ‘Jeonju River Cleanup’ with about 1500 saints in Baekje Bridge, Seosin-dong from 10 A.M. on 12^th, they will have blood donation event with 800 persons on 14^th.

World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) conducts the earth cleanup campaign to treat the earth getting sick for greeting the Passover(5^th, Apr.) of 2012 in 2200 places, 150 countries.

In the case of Ulsan, about 600 persons will participate in cleanup campaign on 18^th in the Street of Youth, Seongnam-dong.

An interested person of Church of God explained that the object of this cleanup campaign is “to lead sympathy and participation of citizens in the world by informing seriousness of Global warming and Environmental pollution and to protect their lives from environmental disaster.”

Church of God is keeping up event of ‘Love of Passover, Love of Life, Blood Donation Relay’ to 5^th of next month that is the Sacred Assembly of the Passover with cleanup campaign.

In the case of Ulsan, about 400 persons participated in blood donation on 29^th of last month in World Mission Society Church of God of Jinjang-dong, Buk-gu.

‘Love of Passover, Love of Life, Blood Donation Relay’ is the event to share life and love which Church of God is enlarging to all over the country and the world. About 13,000 citizens of the world participated in blood donation from 2005.

Moreover, Church of God opens ‘Students Orchestra Concert Tour’ for students with the new term ahead. The orchestra plays ‘Light Cavalry Overture’ of Suppe, ‘Waltz’ of Shostakovich and ‘Radetzky marsch’ of Johann Strauss etc.

The concert of Ulsan will open at 1:30 P.M. on 11^th in World Mission Society Church of God of Jinjang-dong, Buk-gu.
