Church of God, Cleanup around the Square of Sinchon station before the Passover of 2012

On 4th, about 1200 persons including saints of Church of God in Seoul and citizens take part in

World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) is attracting public attention by carrying out massive Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign to save the earth’s environment getting sick in about 2200 places, 150 countries. This cleanup campaign which is conducting continually throughout the world until the begging of Apr. is ‘2012 Worldwide Cleanup Campaign for greeting the Passover‘ which is a part of ‘the Commemoration of God Ahnsahnghong‘s the Sacred Birth’ and ‘the Preparation of the Sacred Assembly of the Passover‘.

Church of God explained the object of this cleanup campaign is “to practice love of New Covenant Passover which 2nd Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong restored to save people of the world.” and said “We are going to protect life of human beings from environmental disasters by informing the seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution and arousing sympathy and participation of world’s people in cleanup campaign.”

1200 saints of Church of God and citizens participated in and carried out cleanup centering the Square of Sinchon station in Seodaemoon, Mapo, and Eunpyeong of Seoul on 4th. They collected dropped wastes in the Square of Sinchon station, the sides of road, Bus stops and streets.

Streets stained by kinds of wastes like cigarettes, cans, leaflets and garbage became clean and about 6 tons of wastes are collected.

Shin Won-cheol, the chairman of City-Administration Committee of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and Ryu Sang-ho, a district representative are also participated in this event and gave thanks and encouragement to saints of Church of God and citizens who lead cleanup for the region.

The chairman Shin Won-cheol said “I express my thanks and gladness to saints of Church of God and citizens who take part in voluntary service despite cold weather. I’m very surprised that Church of God conducted cleanup activities 1289 times. I hope we clean our mind like we clean Seoul Metropolis.”

Ryu Sang-ho, a district representative, who participated in together, said “I’m pleased I can take part in this good event. I know about Church of God which practices sharing and volunteering. Many people volunteer, but I’m impressed that Church of God volunteers to small parts unreached helping hands from all parts of the world.”

Choi Eui-hwan who has participated in the event each time said “I participated in this voluntary service to deliver mother’s love. Volunteering individually is not easy, so I’m pleased this chance comes to me. I want to participate in voluntary services continually because I gain many things through this.”

Park Chun-ja said “I want to clean the environment in visual sight after realizing God’s love, so take part in cleanup. I hope the world become clean and beautiful with God’s love.”

Kim Min-jeong said “I participate in cleanup campaign first time after participating in volunteering to share briquette last time. Collecting small wastes in all the corners and seeing streets which become clean, I feel good because it seems my mind also become clean.”

Heo Jin-hye, a student who participated in cleanup, said “It is cold, but I’m happy. I don’t know streets are dirty like this. I hope people don’t throw away wastes. It is unpleasant to see smelly wastes, but my mind become bright by cleaning streets.”

Church of God has conducted worldwide cleanup campaign every year before the important feast of the church. The church is conducting cleanup campaign continually to protect the earth’s environment which is the grounds of human beings’ life. As the church, cleanup activities they conducted for about 10 years from 2001 to 2012 reach 1272 except for small-scale activities which wasn’t counted. They have conducted enormous cleanup activities more than average 100 every year. These activities of Church of God are being commented favorably as giving help to change citizens’ environmental awareness in the world as well as purifying the polluted earth.

Church of God introduced the Passover is precious God’s feast through which we are protected from disasters and promised the forgiveness of the sins and the eternal life. And they explained “We hope people keep the Passover together after cleaning minds like cleaning the earth’s environment and receive blessings to become God’s children and salvation as present. Saving the earth which is under emergency by environmental disasters is practicing love of God the Father and God the Mother who love human beings. The Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign is taking effect to cure the earth getting sick in 150 countries including Korea altogether. That is ‘2012 Worldwide Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign for Greeting the Passover’ which World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) conducts.

Church of God explained the object of this cleanup campaign “to practice love of the Passover of the New Covenant which 2^nd Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong restored” and “to protect lives of human beings from environmental disasters by informing people the seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution and arousing sympathy and participation of them.”

In Korea, Church of God of each region takes the lead in and conducts cleanup in all sides of nation successively. In foreign countries, the cleanup campaign will be held coincidentally in 2200 places, 150 countries where Church of God is, starting USA to North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa. The church said, “we are going to keep up this campaign to 5^th, Apr. when is ‘2012 the Sacred Assembly of the Passover’.

The cleanup activities take effect freely in the center or outskirts of city like mountain, river, beach, park, relics and street under the feature and need of each country and region. The families, relatives, neighbors who are usually interested in environmental problems as well as Church of God’s saints will participate in the campaign together.

The Passover of the New Covenant   The Passover of the New Covenant which Church of God values much of is the day Jesus Christ promised the forgiveness of the sins and eternal life to those who eat the bread and the wine which represent his flesh and blood when is the evening of the last day before he was crucified 2000 years ago. Church of God keeps the Passover eating the bread and drinking the wine at the evening on 14th, Jan. in the Sacred Calendar(the calendar of Jews) every year following the teaching of Jesus Christ. The name of ‘Passover’ means ‘disasters go over and across.’ This originated that Israelites were protected from disaster by putting the blood of the lamb on the sides and tops of the doorframes at the time of Exodus. Church of God believes in Ahnsahnghong as God the Holy Spirit who restored the Passover abolished on the council of Nicea, 325 A.D. by the people after death of Jesus Christ. As the Church of God, the church which keeps the Passover of the new covenant as the date and the rules written in the Bible is only Church of God in the world. The Passover of 2012 is 5th, Apr. World Mission Society Church of God occupied the attention by carrying out large-scale Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign in 2200 places, 150 countries to save environment of the earth getting sick.

This cleanup campaign which will be continued to the beginning of Apr. is ‘2012 Worldwide Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign for Greeting the Passover’ that is conducted as a part of ‘the commemoration of God Ahnsahnghong’s sacred birth and the preparation of the Sacred Assembly of the Passover of 2012’.

In that event, many regional figures including National Assemblyman, the candidate of Assemblyman and City Assemblyman participated. They praised good deeds of citizens and saints of Church of God who lead regional development and expressed their gratitude.

National Assemblyman Park Sun-ja who volunteers with saints said, “I thank to saints of Church of God from my heart for their cleanup campaign for greeting the Passover. I firmly believe the world will be clean and bright by efforts of Church of God’s saints in the all over the world.”

National Assemblyman Cho Jeong-sik who participated in the event expressed his impression that “I know Church of God’s saints have done good deeds usually. I’m pleased that they are delivering God’s will and making the world pure and bright through cleanup campaign despite cold weather. Especially it seems good that many children and teenagers participate together. Our children’s school life in difficulties like competition for admission to the college and school violence makes my heart hurt. So I think adults have to make efforts for children and teenagers. Kim Hyeong-bae who participated in cleanup with his wife said, “It looks good that members of the family clean up park together. I participated in a voluntary service like this for the first time, but I want recommend other people and I will participate with my children, if I get opportunity. World Mission Society Church of God(General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) is conducting ‘2012 Worldwide Earth Environment Cleanup Campaign for Greeting the Passover’ to save the earth’s environment getting sick in 2200 places, 150 countries, so the church is being the center of attention.

About the object of this cleanup campaign, Church of God said, “We planned this to protect lives of human beings from environmental disaster by informing seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution.”

1500 persons including Church of God’s saints and residents who live in Ansan and Siheung put away waste and arrange in every corner like Hwarang reservoir, the walk, the art museum and the lawn square in Hwarang Park which is placed Choji-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si.

Hwarang Park which is composed of the lake, the walk, the art museum, kinds of training facilities and the lawn squre in the site reaching 660,000m² is a natural rest area of Ansan’s citizens. The park needs to clean because many citizens have a visit to rest and exercise every day.

Hong Sam-rang, a janitor of the park, expressed his gratitude that “Cleanup of the park was urgent because the drainage way was choked with fallen leaves which were piled up throughout the winter. Under that condition, saints of the church cleaned up the park, so I’m relieved of worry.”

Jeong Chun-sub, an office worker, expressed his impression of volunteer work that “It seemed to clean, but wastes which were hidden are more than my thought. Many people clean together, so broad park became clean in an instant. I’m very pleased that I could participate in good deed.”

Church of God Conducts the Earth Cleanup Campaign for the Passover

World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) conducts the earth cleanup campaign to treat the earth getting sick for greeting the Passover(5^th, Apr.) of 2012 in 2200 places, 150 countries.

In the case of Ulsan, about 600 persons will participate in cleanup campaign on 18^th in the Street of Youth, Seongnam-dong.

An interested person of Church of God explained that the object of this cleanup campaign is “to lead sympathy and participation of citizens in the world by informing seriousness of Global warming and Environmental pollution and to protect their lives from environmental disaster.”

Church of God is keeping up event of ‘Love of Passover, Love of Life, Blood Donation Relay’ to 5^th of next month that is the Sacred Assembly of the Passover with cleanup campaign.

In the case of Ulsan, about 400 persons participated in blood donation on 29^th of last month in World Mission Society Church of God of Jinjang-dong, Buk-gu.

‘Love of Passover, Love of Life, Blood Donation Relay’ is the event to share life and love which Church of God is enlarging to all over the country and the world. About 13,000 citizens of the world participated in blood donation from 2005.

Moreover, Church of God opens ‘Students Orchestra Concert Tour’ for students with the new term ahead. The orchestra plays ‘Light Cavalry Overture’ of Suppe, ‘Waltz’ of Shostakovich and ‘Radetzky marsch’ of Johann Strauss etc.

The concert of Ulsan will open at 1:30 P.M. on 11^th in World Mission Society Church of God of Jinjang-dong, Buk-gu.

Environment Cleanup of World Mission Society Church of God

World Mission Society Church of God(General pastor : Kim Joo-cheol) conducted the environment cleanup campaign on 4^th in Hwarang Park, Choji-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si.

About 1500 persons including World Mission Society Church of God’s members who live in Ansan and Siheung and local residents participated in cleanup activity of this day and picked up the trash on all sides of the park.
